i'm becoming more and more interested in strong graphic shapes in my photos. using hard light lends itself to strong graphic shapes.... you get those clearly delineated areas of light and dark..... it takes a bit more thought beforehand, because not every light or dark area is going to work or be a flattering shape, but when it works it's really phenomenal.
