this is my attempt at a well thought out composition. i'm not sure it came out all that well, though. i like the lamp, and the lamp's shadow, but it feels like there should be a third item in the frame somewhere. feels a little bottom-heavy too. like everything should be moved up in the frame a bit. this was completely composed in the camera -- no post cropping at all. it's a bit tough to do when you're in the picture yourself.
